Melvin Sokolsky

I know these are classic and you've probably already heard of Melvin Sokolsky, but I couldn't not post these images even if they are a bit fuzzy with age around the edges...

This is aptly called 'The Bubble Series' and was shot in 1963. I love old fashion shoots, where there was no Photoshop to alter images, they just had to be creative and perfect first time around. This shoot is so quintessentially 60's it's almost funny, like something Vogue would do today to poke fun at the decade.

The clothes are beautiful too, perfectly cut jackets, draping dresses and pill box hats. Dress me up like this and I would be happy forever.

Visit Melvin Skolsky's website to see more of his work.
