I am a little bit obsessed with the 1 minute film by Fred Butler and Elisha Smith Leverock after receiving a one word brief of 'light' by Diane Pernet herself. But yes, on to the lovely images we see before us. These are images from Garland Coo, a new, rather exciting collaboration between Jasmine Isabel Eckerle and Marcel Singer founded in South Germany. This, their first collection, is entirely womenswear but I'm sure you can imagine how awesome their menswear would be too...
These tribalistic images from their lookbook reminded me almost instantly of Fred Butler's film, hence my initial ramblings, I love the rawness of the images along with the attitude of the model. They work together perfectly to reflect the artistic influences of the collection. Also, how amazing is the ruff in the bottom image, I need it in my life!
I'm rather excited to see more from Garland Coo, especially seeing as the photography is also captured by one half of the collaboration, Marcel Singer (along with Achim Dickgiesser). Hats off to the both of you.
