Yan To

I can't decide whether Yan To's A/W 10 collection is commerical or avant garde, it's a strange, but brilliant, mixture of the two. Contrasting pieces you could easily wear to the office, like the light grey panelled dress, with amazing pieces like the furry leather jacket in the first image. I think the mixture works perfectly and I like chic oddness of it all.

Reading through his notes that accompany this collection, it seems to be very experimental, using techniques he's familiar with and creating new ones with the hope of producing something different, either on purpose or by mistake. I think this collection fuses the old and new, the odd and chic, the fur and leather together seamlessly.
