Story time with Ti + Hann

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin... Ticuta Racovita-Cordemans & Hanne De Wyngaert met while they were studying at the Academia of Fine Arts in Antwerp. After graduation, Ti had to go to a funeral on her birthday but forgot to tell Hann who had already got her a massive birthday cake full of whipped cream. Ti was sad at the funeral but Hann didn't even know so set out on her way with the birthday cake. Alas, en route, she fell down the stairs and broke her arm. Now, Ti doesn't like whipped cream, Hann has a metal pin in her arm and they both work together to make lovely collections.

I love partnerships that have a story behind them, even if they aren't particularly relevant to the collection itself. This collection is their A/W 09-10 entitled 'Cry Baby' and is packed full of lovely, feminine touches in rather masculine fabrics. The heavy wool and leather only enhance the drapes and bows seen throughout.

As always, I love the styling and photography, it's a little strange and you could see it being a storyboard for a silent film.
