Veronica B. Vallenes, a break from tradition

I realised I had been posting mainly black, striking clothes purely because I've been ridiculously busy lately and they are the first thing that caught my eye. So this post is a little more considered and, well, just plain pretty.

These images are from Norwegian designer Veronica B. Vallenes Autumn/Winter '10 collection, but the lighter pieces would be oh so perfect for Spring/Summer. I can just imagine myself strolling down the beach in the pale pink jumpsuit. I also love the more suited to A/W pieces, my favourite being the cape/scarf, that may just be the styling of the shoot though.

The large, airy, light and open space suits the collection down to the ground. It makes me think of a modernised wartime woman with some serious style. The softness of the images work really well though I can't help but think if this was The September Issue, Anna Wintour would be having none of it...

For more info and to look at more of her work (including awesome costumes) visit her website or NJAL site.

Also, I wrote a piece for Drapers Online today so click here to see that!
