Sophie Hulme

Sophie Hulme first caught my eye with her previous collections, where everything was entirely covered with matte sequins. They were ever so beautiful but ridiculously heavy, we used them for a shoot and I had to return them to the PR and you should have seen my guns afterwards.

So, Sophie has strayed away from the sequins, but not from the shiny touches. The style of her new collection is very utility and military based but with feminine touches like metal panels and gold whistle charms. She also has a seperate collection of charms with different kinds of whistles and other lovely things.

My favourite parts of this collection are the accessories, they are just beautiful and enhance the simplicity of the rest of the collection. I love the harshness of the metal contrasted against the softness of the ribbon. The material used for the bags is just lovely too, I kind of want most of this collection in my life...
