Bitching and Junkfood
Bitching and Junkfood opened in the summer of 2009, I distinctly remember making my way over to the studio a few days after their launch in the sweltering hot sun in the middle of Hackney, to be greeted by a barefoot Marion, the lovely owner of the online shop.
I pretty much loved the concept from the very beginning, I'm not sure if they still do it now but they used to put up pieces for free and the person who found it first got to have it, like an easter egg hunt for fashion. Bitching and Junkfood offer international designers alongside their in house line, consisting of revamped vintage and one of a kind jewellery pieces.
The beauty of this shop is that everything is unique and, thankfully, under £150 making one of a kind pieces available and accessible to everyone.
The reason that I'm posting about this today is that it's just been announced that Bitching and Junkfood will now be stocking Kokontozai, Belle Sauvague, Rachel Friere, Cheap Monday, Take off your Clothes and more! This may mean that £150 price barrier is pushed a little but to have one place where you can get all of these designers, vintage and handmade pieces is pretty amazing I think you'll agree.
For more info and to check out more of the wares on sale in Bitching and Junkfood, visit their website. They also have a jolly good blog, so go say hi to the team!
