It's that time of year again where Vauxhall Fashion Scout pick four exciting and promising designers to showcase their work at London Fashion Week in a collective runway show. The four designers are David Longshaw, Askh, Eudon Choi and Florencia Kozuch. I've picked out my two favourite and thought you might fancy a look...
Askh (images above) has provided VFS with a stand out collection, it instantly appealed to me as a fun, interesting and intricate collection. Anything with excessive amounts of material, linear embellishments, sheer fabric and draping makes me happy. The styling and photography of these campaign images (from VFS) complement the collection whole heartedly as the grey rock face is reflected within the colour palette of the lovely clothes. I'm expecting lots more from Askh in the future.
The other designer who stood out for me was Florencia Kozuch, again with masses of material... It appears that all you have to do to get my attention is have massive, mop shoulders. I especially love the headgear that goes with this collection, it's so exaggerated but doesn't detract from the main outfit. The colours are also sublime, so muted and soft yet striking.
Let me know what you think about my choices and your thoughts on VFS One's to Watch this year! For more info on all of the designers visit the Vauxhall Fashion Scout website.
RIP Alexander McQueen, the World has lost a legend.
